On 29th January 2009, the man responsible for killing Paul Dobson and Dean O'Brien was sentenced to
5 years and 6 months in jail for 2 counts of causing death by dangerous driving.
Paul was 24 years old, gorgeous, and had everything to live for.
He was a passenger in a car which overturned shortly after 10 pm on 22nd December 2007. He was hurt
too badly and although he fought so hard, he could not recover from his injuries. We lost him on
26th December 2007.
The accicent also took the life of another beautiful young man; Dean O'Brien, also a passenger in
the car.
It is an honour to have known Paul. He nagged us to cary donor cards and we are so proud that in his
death, he continues to help others by donating his organs.
Paul loved his family very much, family was everything to him and he is truly truly missed by his
mum, big sister, little brother, nana, two beautiful sons, ex partners, all his aunties and uncles,
cousins, and extended family and friends.
Paul worked in sales. He loved his job and did it with so much passion he frequently was top of the
office leaving the others trailing behind.
He also adored the gym, it was one of his favourite places in the world and he had a gorgeous bod to
show for it. He loved to show it off, usually in pants that were tight round his bum and his beloved
muscle vests. Girls went mad for him (so did the boys come to think of it, although he always
politely declined their offers)!
Paul had so much to live for. There were so many things he was looking forward to, especially
watching his boys grow into fine young men.
Never will there be a day when we don't think about you Paul, and wish you were right here with us
smiling your beautiful smile. We will miss you and love you forever, remember you with a smile, and
look forward to the day we can see you again and give you the biggest hug you've ever had.
